Boards are visual canvases inside a world. Use them for relationship sketches, reference arrangements, map planning, or other visual thinking.

## Open or create a board

Open **Boards** and choose a board or create one. A board can be a canvas or a map; both provide a visual working surface.

Use the canvas tools to draw, add text, and arrange objects. Zoom and pan to move around the board.

## Entity cards

Add existing bible entries as entity cards. Cards reference the entry rather than creating a second character or place. Their displayed information follows updates to the world bible.

Use the card's entry-opening action to inspect the full record. Drawing a line on a canvas is not automatically the same as recording a structured relationship in the bible.

## Media

Drop supported images and files onto the canvas where applicable. Uploaded media belongs to the world and can also be managed from **Media**. See [Media and references](/media).

## Collaboration and recovery

Board changes synchronize between connected members. Viewers cannot edit. Use **History** to preview or restore a checkpoint. A restore may require connected users to reopen the board.

A collaborative board is not a full offline drawing app. Do not assume an uncached board can open without a connection.
