Open **People & sharing** to manage access to the current world.

## Roles

| Role | What it is for |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Owner** | Manage the world and its membership, and edit its content. |
| **Editor** | Contribute to the bible, books, chapters, boards, and other editable world content. |
| **Viewer** | Read shared world content without editing it. |

The assistant chat is an editing feature and is not available to viewers. Conversations belong to the writer who created them; sharing a world does not mean every member sees every writer's private chat thread.

## Invite someone

Create an invitation with the intended role. Copy the invitation link and send it to the person. They need to open it, sign in, and accept it; opening the link alone does not silently add them.

Owners can copy an existing link again from the saved invitation list. You do not need to create a second invitation just to share the link again.

Invitations can expire or be revoked. If a link is no longer valid, ask an owner for a new one. Do not publish an invitation link if you intend it only for a specific collaborator.

## Change or remove access

Owners can change roles or remove members. Connected sessions recheck access, and a removed member cannot keep editing through an old connection. At least one owner must remain.

A role change may make an editor read-only. If access changes while a page is open, follow its reload or reopen instructions.

## Work in the same document

Connected editors can collaborate in a chapter or board. The people indicator shows who is in the world and the area they are using. It does not imply that their private conversation is shared.
