Organize books and outlines
Create multiple books in one world and use synopsis, outline, manuscript, and settings to organize each story before and during drafting.
A world can contain multiple books that share its story bible. Open Books to create a book or return to an existing one.
Book tabs
- Synopsis: a prose summary of the story.
- Outline: planning notes for its structure and scenes.
- Manuscript: the chapter list and chapter editor.
- Settings: the book title, genre, audience, word goal, and order.
Use the save button after editing synopsis, outline, title, or settings. These forms do not share the chapter editor’s automatic saving behavior.
Add and order chapters
In Manuscript, enter a chapter title and choose Add chapter. Select a chapter from the list to write in it.
Edit its title or order above the editor, then choose Save title & order. Chapter order is shown starting at 1.
Use the world bible while writing
The manuscript view includes a world-bible search. Follow an entry link to consult its details while you write. The assistant and bible are references; they do not automatically rewrite the manuscript when a world fact changes.
