Worlds and navigation

Understand what belongs to a world and where to find its story bible, manuscript, boards, conversations, and activity.

A world is the container for one setting or connected group of stories. Separate worlds have separate data and membership. You can write multiple books in the same world without duplicating its bible.

  • Overview: a summary of the world, recent activity, and open questions.
  • Bible: entries such as characters, places, events, and items.
  • Books: book synopsis, outline, manuscript chapters, and book settings.
  • People & sharing: members, roles, and invitations.
  • Glossary: invented words, names, phrases, and languages.
  • Timeline: dated entries ordered in world time.
  • Consistency: potential problems and the progress of checks.
  • Boards: visual canvases and maps.
  • Media: uploaded files and their links to bible entries.
  • Ontology: the entry and relationship types available in the world.

The entry-type links below the main navigation open filtered views of the bible. All worlds returns to your world list.

What the assistant can see

The assistant works from the current world’s structured bible and its conversation. It does not automatically read all chapter manuscripts, other worlds, or arbitrary files just because they are open on screen. See Assistant chat for its capabilities and limits.

Features marked “soon”

A navigation item marked soon, such as World builder, is a placeholder. It is not a finished feature. The guide describes the features that are available now.
