Review consistency checks

Find possible contradictions, timeline errors, duplicates, and mismatched references, then decide whether to fix, resolve, or dismiss each finding.

Consistency checks help find possible problems in the world bible. They can flag timing errors, relationship loops, incompatible statements, likely duplicates, and supported media that appears inconsistent with an entry.

Run a check

Open Consistency. Choose Check changes for material changed since the previous completed check, or Check everything for a broader pass.

Checks also run after assistant turns that change the bible, and periodically for worlds that have changed. A run progresses through several stages; keep an eye on its status rather than repeatedly starting another.

Review findings

Open findings show the affected information and an explanation. Follow their entry references and decide what should be true.

Related findings can be grouped when one correction would address them together. Repeated checks recognize findings already covered by an open or dismissed issue, so a differently worded report does not necessarily create another issue.

  • Resolve a finding after you have dealt with it.
  • Dismiss a finding when the unusual detail is intentional or the finding is wrong.
  • Ask the assistant about a finding if you want help understanding or fixing the relevant bible details.

Changing or removing the underlying statement may close an obsolete finding automatically. A dismissed finding can return if the relevant wording changes and the checker detects a new problem.

Checks are advice

A finding is not proof of an error. Model-based checks can miss problems or raise false alarms. They do not replace your judgment, and they do not silently decide the canon for you.

The checker primarily works from the structured bible and supported linked media. It is not a complete editorial review of every chapter manuscript.
